Ready, aimed and focused power-punk trio, Rob Vannice (Guitar & Vocals), Tommy Kloss (Bass) and Mike Garelli (drums) had already taken their hometown of Chicago by storm before launching worldwide on Misfits Records. Taking their punk rock assault to the masses, their impressive 16-track DIY debut, "The Devil Made Me Do It", came packed with face-ripping guitar muscle, sing-along hooks and a sonic rhythm section that demolishes buildings in its wake!
Armed with a hard, aggressive melodic arsenal and thought provoking lyrics, JuiceheaD defines the new breed of American punk rock. Their music is infectious, contagious and packs enough punch to satisfy most old school punk rock fans, while simultaneously delivering a universal sound that any enlightened music fan will truly appreciate.
Formed in late 2003, JuiceheaD forged from the ashes of several local punk bands and fused a unique union of skilled playing and solid song writing. Rob Vannice had been active in the Chicago underground since 2000 in various bands, but found a secret weapon in Tommy Kloss, a classically trained guitarist turned bass player with who he had been honing the JuiceheaD sound. With the addition of Mike Garelli on drums, the three-piece catapulted into ear bleeding abandon and reached the next level. JuiceheaD has toured all across North America including the Misfits Records’ Fiend Fest tour and several regional and national treks with surf-punk pioneers Agent Orange.
Now two all-new songs from JuiceheaD’s forthcoming, full-length breakthrough studio album “How to Sail a Sinking Ship” chum the waters on a Ltd Ed. vinyl 7-inch single with FREE Digital Download card. The new single showcases the band’s ability to combine a diverse range of musical styles & influences into their own blistering blend of punk rock.
The first pressing, a Record Store Day exclusive vinyl colorway, is available in a highly Limited Ed. of 500 pcs worldwide while supplies last. The record is perfectly suited to match the foreboding stormy skyline in the sleeve art, combining a color mix of gold and oil spill inflected deep ruby swirled vinyl. Every 7-inch includes a free, collectible JuiceheaD digital download card redeemable anywhere in the world for MP3s of both new songs: “Rotting from the Inside” (Side A) and “Death of Democracy” (Side B).
The new single (and the upcoming full-length) is produced by longtime Misfits & Ramones collaborator John Cafiero. Producer/Osaka Popstar frontman Cafiero also appears on guest backing vocals for the A-side title track. The fierce and iconic 7-inch sleeve was illustrated by artist Joe King whose credits include designs for Crooks N Castles, Billabong & Obey Giant (among others) and was recommended for the project to John Cafiero by Obey’s Shepard Fairey personally.
JuiceheaD encourage music fans to support local indie record shops and look for the ultra-limited, exclusive 7-inch in stores on Record Store Day, Saturday April 17th. A limited amount of copies are also available by pre-order from the Misfits Records Online Store while supplies last. Both new songs will be available for individual digital download at only 99 cents per track WORLDWIDE starting Tues. April 13th at iTunes, Amazon and wherever digital music is sold. Both tracks (“Rotting from the Inside” and “Death of Democracy”) will appear on JuiceheaD’s forthcoming, full-length studio album “How to Sail a Sinking Ship” coming later this year from Misfits Records.
